Galaxy Express (band) : ウィキペディア英語版 | Galaxy Express (band)
Galaxy Express is a garage rock band from South Korea. Formed in 2006, they immediately became renowned for their energetic stage presence. They've won high praise from the New York Times, MTV Iggy, and other international media. Lead guitarist/vocalist Park Jong-hyun had previously performed in the band Mogwai, and bassist/vocalist Lee Ju-hyun is a former member of streetpunk band Rux, Oi! band Captain Bootbois, and punk band Ghetto Bombs. They co-formed the label Love Rock Company with fellow Korean rock band Telepathy. Their 2010 album ''Wild Days'' was written and recorded in just one month, as a kind of high-profile social media experiment. ==International touring==
Galaxy Express has played SXSW twice. Their first trip to the Austin festival was part of the Seoulsonic tour of 2011 alongside Idiotape and Vidulgi Ooyoo, during which they blew a fuse at the venue during their energetic performance. They returned to SXSW on their own in 2012, which gave them the opportunity to tour around North America more freely. This tour had them share the stage with Crying Nut, 3rd Line Butterfly, and Yellow Monsters. They have had other concerts in the United States, Canada, France, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. Their travels were documented in the 2012 film ''Turn It Up to 11, Part 2: Wild Days''.
